Paint Disposal

Our paint disposal service is one of our most requested services with enquiries coming from both businesses and household’s alike.

The definition of paint literally is ‘a substance composed of solid colouring matter suspended in a liquid medium and applied as a protective or decorative coating to various surfaces, or to canvas or other materials in producing a work of art’.

Haz Paint Recycling

This ultimately means that whilst some think of paint as a general colouring to place on their walls or an artists tool, in actual fact, this can relate to a number of different types of chemicals including primers, varnishes, household decorating paints, spray paints, undercoats, overcoats, protective coats and even lead based paints.

These can be made up of solvent, water based, oils, glosses and more.

Paints collected by us can go through treatments such as high temperature incineration to generate energy, re-use in industrial projects or simply donated to charitable organisations for general household re-use.

Our pricing structure covers a wide range of paint types and is one of the most cost effective in the UK.

“Having finished a project in a well established government building near Westminster, we were left with hundreds of half used and empty paint tins, as well as spent brushes, used thinners and contaminated PPE. Haz-Stop came to site, provided a variety of IBC’s and clip top drums whilst also separating the different types of paints on-site. They also removed our paint associated materials and at all times provided professional services whilst displaying good customer services from dealing with Hollie at their offices all the way to their drivers, including Pete who was excellent. All this and it came in under-budget! Thanks guys!”

“Haz-Stop helped us dispose of lead based paint flakes from a project that we were working on in one of the London underground tunnels. This was our first time dealing with disposals of this sort of waste and Ian, their lead chemist helped us from the outset by providing the correct containment and advising of relevant PPE. They also provided a full sampling and analysis of the waste prior to completing their work with disposals. My customer was very pleased that we finished the project on time and I am very pleased with Haz-Stop”
